(A) Any person who is a transient merchant shall obtain a license before engaging in such activity within the corporate boundaries of the Town of Albany.
(B) The fee for the license required by this chapter shall be $25.
(C) No license issued under this chapter shall be transferable.
(D) All licenses issued under this chapter shall expire six months after the date of issuance thereof. The provisions of this chapter shall not apply to sales made to dealers or commercial travelers or selling agents in the usual course of business nor to bona fide sales of goods, wares or merchandise by sample for future delivery, or sheriffs, constables or other public officers selling goods, wares and merchandise according to law, nor to bona fide assignees or receivers appointed in the State of Indiana selling goods, wares and merchandise for the benefit of creditors.
