(A) Cats found to be running at large and not under restraint shall be taken by the town employee who is responsible for the animal control within the town to the animal shelter the town contracts with for animal control.
(B) Immediately upon the impounding of any cat, the town employee charged with the responsibility of animal control shall make every effort possible to notify the owner of the cat being so impounded and shall further notify the owner as to the location of the cat.
