§ 70.01 UNIFORM TRAFFIC CODE ADOPTED BY REFERENCE.
   (A)   The Uniform Traffic Code for cities, townships, and villages promulgated by the Commissioner of State Police on February 14, 1958, and published in Supplement No. 13, and on February 14, 1961, published in Supplement No. 25 to the 1954 State Administrative Code in accordance with Public Act 62 of 1956, being M.C.L.A. §§ 257.951 through 257.954, is hereby adopted by reference, and accepted as amended, with all future amendments as in this section modified.
   (B)   References in the Uniform Traffic Code for state cities, townships, and villages to governmental unit shall mean the village.
   (C)   All ordinances relating to traffic which are in conflict with the Uniform Traffic Code, or which shall be inconsistent with the provisions of the Uniform Traffic Code, are, to the extent of such inconsistency, hereby repealed.
   (D)   No person shall start, stop, or operate any motor vehicle on any village street or roadway, or any other place open to the public, including any area designated for the parking of motor vehicles, in such manner as to disturb the peace by causing excessive noise with tires or mufflers or any other device attached to or in an automobile or motor vehicle.
