The purpose of this chapter is: to regulate and control the subdivision of land and site condominiums within the corporate limits of the municipality in order to promote the public health, safety, comfort, convenience, and general welfare of the inhabitants of the village, consistent with the Master Plan and Zoning Ordinance; to secure adequate traffic circulation through coordinated street systems to provide for emergency vehicle ingress and egress and to lessen congestion on the streets and highways; to ensure adequate provision for water, drainage, and sanitary sewer facilities, and other health requirements; to achieve the maximum utility and livability on individual lots; to ensure that the resulting development is compatible with the surrounding area and to provide logical procedures for the achievement of these purposes.
