(A) In addition to the other remedies provided in this subchapter, the village may elect to take such steps as are necessary to abate the unsafe condition if the owner and/or occupant fails to comply with a notice issued pursuant to § 150.02. A representative of the village, after receiving authorization by the Village Council, shall take such steps as are necessary to abate or eliminate the unsafe condition.
(B) The cost of elimination of the unsafe condition by the village, including reasonable attorney fees, may be collected in a lawsuit against the owner and/or occupant of the structure and/or against the person who committed, created, or maintained the unsafe condition.
