A. Compliance With Zoning Regulations: The board of adjustment shall continue to act pursuant to title 11, chapter 3 of this code and any other such ordinances and statutes as may be applicable.
B. Membership And Terms: As set forth in section 11-3-1 of this code, the board of adjustment shall consist of members appointed by the mayor with the approval of the board of trustees. Each member shall serve for a term of three (3) years until a successor is duly appointed and qualified.
C. Powers: The jurisdiction of the board of adjustment is hereby extended to include and exercise the following powers:
1. To hear and decide appeals from any order, requirement, decision, or determination made by the town in the enforcement of this chapter;
2. To hear and decide special exceptions to the terms of this chapter; and
3. To hear and decide specific variances requested under this chapter. (Ord. 473, 11-1-2004)
