Every junk dealer or salvage yard shall, during the hours of ordinary business, submit and exhibit the book kept as provided above, as well as any article or property sold to him or her, to any police officer of the town, county or state, and no article may be sold or dismantled or salvaged within four days of the receipt thereof.
