Any person violating any of the provision of this chapter shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof shall be fined in an amount determined by § 10.99. A towing fee of $50 and storage fee of $10 per day will also be assessed against the person liable for such charges. Each day the violation is committed or permitted to continue shall constitute a separate offense and shall be punishable as such hereunder.
(A) A special fund will be set up by the Clerk-Treasurer for such fines as abandoned vehicles.
(B) The abandoned vehicles shall be turned over to the Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles, and the Bureau shall dispose of the vehicle according to the Indiana State Statute and its regulations on abandoned vehicles.
(C) The town is empowered to bring legal action against the owners and/or whoever is liable for the disposal to recover any and all charges that the town has had to pay for as specified in addition to the fines imposed plus attorney fees.
