§ 71.02 RIDING BICYCLES, MOTORIZED BICYCLES OR MOTORCYCLES ON SIDEWALKS PROHIBITED.
   (A)   Whenever a person is riding a bicycle upon a sidewalk, that person shall yield the right-of-way to any pedestrian and shall give audible signal before overtaking and passing the pedestrian.
   (B)   No person shall ride a bicycle, motorized bicycle, motorcycle, roller skates, inline skates or skateboards upon a sidewalk in the downtown area of the town described as follows: south of Walnut Street; north of Orchard Street; west of Center Street and east of Whittenberger Street. Operators of bicycles and motorized bicycles in the above-described area shall walk the bicycles or motorized bicycles while traveling on sidewalks.
   (C)   No person shall drive a motorized bicycle or motorcycle upon the sidewalks within the corporate limits of the town except to cross the sidewalk at an alley, street or driveway.
   (D)   Violations of this section shall result in the forfeiture to the Akron Police Department of the bicycle, motorized bicycle, motorcycle, roller skates, inline skates or skateboard involved for a period not to exceed 30 days and a fine not to exceed $25.
