§ 70.34 REMOVAL OF VEHICLES IN VIOLATION.
   (A)   Whenever any police officer finds a vehicle standing upon the street or highway in violation of this subchapter, the officer is hereby authorized to move the vehicle, or require the driver or other person in charge of the vehicle to remove the same, to a position off the street.
   (B)   (1)   If the owner or operator of the vehicle is not available to remove the vehicle, it shall be towed away from the parking place at the direction of the County Sheriff’s Department and the owner of the vehicle, prior to having the same returned to him or her, shall pay the cost of the towing plus the cost of storage until claimed by owner.
      (2)   The payment of the sums shall be prerequisite for the return of the vehicle to the person entitled thereto.
