(A) Limited time off with pay shall be granted to full-time hourly employees for illness or injury, or when the employee’s presence might jeopardize the health of fellow workers. Every full-time employee will receive ten working days per year and may not accumulate from year to year. Sick leave is to be utilized for the purpose of illness or injury of the employee, or illness or injury within the immediate family requiring the assistance of the employee. In order to qualify for sick leave pay, the employee must:
(1) Notify the Clerk-Treasurer if at all possible prior to the beginning of his or her shift; and
(2) Keep the Clerk-Treasurer notified of the extent of the illness.
(B) A doctor’s slip may be required if there is reason to believe that sick leave is being abused. Sick leave pay shall be made on the same day as regular pay. Part-time employees may receive up to five days per year of paid sick leave.
