If the landowner fails to remove the weeds or rank vegetation within the time prescribed, the Town Council may remove the weeds and rank vegetation. The Clerk-Treasurer shall make a certified statement of the actual cost incurred by the town in the removal. The statement shall be tendered to the owner of the real estate by the Town Marshal or by registered mail, and the owner shall have not more than ten days within which to pay the amount to the Clerk-Treasurer.
