§ 30.20 LANGUAGE ANALYSIS; IDENTIFYING THE LEP POPULATION.
   (A)   The town conducted assessment of the number of LEP individuals eligible to be served. Identified below are the following groups based upon the 2015 American Community Survey data for the population five years and over (all figures in estimates). Percentages of persons who:
      (1)   Speak only English in:
         (a)   Indiana: 5,636,420;
         (b)   Boone County: 54,151; and
         (c)   Jackson Township: 2,669.
      (2)   Spanish/Spanish Creole; speak English less than “very well”:
         (a)   Indiana: 120,062;
         (b)   Boone County: 312; and
         (c)   Jackson Township: three (less than 1%).
      (3)   French (including Patios, Cajun); speak English less than “very well”:
         (a)   Indiana: 2,683;
         (b)   Boone County: 57; and
         (c)   Jackson Township: six (less than 1%).
      (4)   Vietnamese: speak English less than “very well”:
         (a)   Indiana: 3,968;
         (b)   Boone County: 61; and
         (c)   Jackson Township: five (less than 1%).
   (B)   Based on the 2015 American Community Survey data, less than 1% of all households in the town have no one in the home, age five and older, that only speaks English or speaks English “very well”. Therefore, over 99% of the households in the community have at least one person who speaks only English or English “very well”.
