   The following abbreviations, when used in this chapter, shall have the designated meanings:

   (A)   A.S.T.M - American Society for Testing and Materials;

   (B)   BOD - Biochemical oxygen demand;

   (C)   BMP - Best management practice;

   (D)   BMR - Baseline monitoring report;

   (E)   C.F.R. - Code of Federal Regulations;

   (F)   CIU - Categorical industrial user;

   (G)   COD - Chemical oxygen demand;

   (H)   EPA - U.S. Environmental Protection Agency;

   (I)   gpd - Gallons per day;

   (J)   I.C. - Indiana Code, as may be amended;

   (K)   IDEM - Indiana Department of Environmental Management;

   (L)   IU - Industrial user;

   (M)   mg/L - Milligrams per liter;

   (N)   NPDES - National pollutant discharge elimination system;

   (O)   NSCIU - Non-significant categorical industrial user;

   (P)   POTW - Publicly owned treatment works;

   (Q)   RCRA - Resource Conservation and Recovery Act;

   (R)   SIU - Significant industrial user;

   (S)   SNC - Significant noncompliance;

   (T)   TSS - Total suspended solids; and

   (U)   U.S.C. - United States Code.
