§ 50.24 DELINQUENT UTILITY BILLS OF TOWN EMPLOYEES; AUTHORITY TO WITHHOLD PAYCHECKS.
   If any civil town or municipal utility employee owes a delinquent utility bill, which is not paid in full by payday, the Clerk-Treasurer shall withhold such employee’s paycheck. However, if the employee affirms to the Clerk-Treasurer that he or she will be financially unable to pay the utility bill unless he or she receives is paycheck, the Clerk-Treasurer may issue a new paycheck, deducting from the employee’s net pay the amount of the utility bill owed to the town, which deducted amount shall be transferred from the Payroll Fund to the appropriate utility accounts.
