§ 34.120 BEREAVEMENT LEAVE.
   (A)   Bereavement leave must be arranged through a written request. The request must be executed by the employee. It must state the relationship between the deceased and the employee, and the length of time needed for the requested absence.
   (B)   All regular, full-time employees may be granted a paid leave of up to five working days in the event of the deaths in the employees’ immediate families. EMPLOYEE’S IMMEDIATE FAMILY, for purposes of this section, shall mean an employee’s spouse, parent, child or any family member residing in the same household, or anyone standing in the position of parent of an employee.
   (C)   In the event of the death of a grandmother, grandfather, aunt, uncle, niece, nephew, mother-in- law, father-in-law, brother-in-law or sister-in-law of the employee may be granted up to two days per year with pay.
   (D)   If additional time is requested and approved by the Town Council, the employee an employee may use paid time off or vacation time, if available.
