10.14.030 Prohibiting the Use of Crosswalks by Pedestrians.
   A.   Pursuant to the Vehicle Code, whenever the City Council determines, upon the basis of a traffic engineering investigation, that prohibiting the use of any crosswalk is necessary, the City Council shall by resolution direct the City Engineer to erect and maintain signs adjacent to such crosswalk directing that pedestrians shall not cross in the crosswalk.
   B.   Removal. Whenever the City Council determines, upon the basis of a traffic engineering investigation, that the conditions for which signs were erected prohibiting the use of a crosswalk as provided in Subsection A. of this Section no longer exist, the City Council shall by resolution direct the City Engineer to remove such signs.
