17.22.070 Outdoor Storage.
   (a)   Storage is not allowed within the required front yard setback, except for aircraft and operable vehicles on a designated driveway.
   (b)   All storage, except for operable vehicles and aircraft, shall be screened from all public right-of-ways and adjacent residential properties. Screening shall be the use of a decorative masonry block wall, solid fencing, or other drought tolerant landscaping barrier.
   (c)   Recreational Vehicle Storage
      The storage of boats, travel trailers, and other recreational vehicles, including personal aircraft for personal (non-commercial) use, on residential lots within the Airport Park District shall be permitted subject to the following:
      1.   The open storage of boats, travel trailers, and other recreational vehicles, including personal aircraft for personal (non-commercial) use, is permitted on residential lots subject to the requirements contained in Section 17.20.110 Storage of Recreation Vehicles of this Zoning Code.
      2.   Portable, semi-permanent, or permanent covers and temporary hangars, used to protect boats, travel trailers, or recreational vehicles including personal aircraft for personal (non-commercial) use, from the sun and weather may be used, provided that:
         A.   Such structures are located entirely behind the front setback line of the lot.
         B.   Sufficient distance, as required by the Uniform Building Code, is provided between the structure and any habitable building.
         C.   The cover is maintained in good repair.
         D.   All structures shall be subject to Building Department review and approval.
         E.   Portable or semi-portable carports shall be allowed one per acre, and shall be removed when fabric cover becomes unserviceable.
   (d)   Fuel Storage
      All fuel storage tanks shall be subject to the review and approval of the San Bernardino County Fire Department, prior to Planning Department approval.
   (e)   Water Storage
      All water storage reservoirs shall be designed and installed per the San Bernardino County Fire Department standards and regulations, and require a building permit per the Public Works Department.
