165.09 ENFORCEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES.
In the event the Zoning/Building Administrator shall find that any of the provisions of this chapter are being violated, he or she shall in writing notify the person responsible for the violation, shall indicate the specific nature of the violation, and shall order the action necessary to correct the violation. In case any building or structure is erected, constructed, reconstructed, altered, repaired, converted or maintained, or any building, structure or land is used in violation of this chapter, the Zoning/Building Administrator shall order the owner of the affected property to take such actions as may be required to prevent such unlawful erection, construction, reconstruction, alteration, repair, conversion, maintenance, or use, or to prevent the occupancy of said building, structure, or land, or to prevent any illegal act, conduct of business or use in or about said premises. The City, in addition to other remedies and if necessary, shall institute any proper action or proceedings to prevent any unlawful erection, construction, reconstruction, alteration, repair, conversion, maintenance, or use; or to restrain, correct or abate such violation; or to prevent the occupancy of said building, structure, or land; or to prevent any illegal act, conduct of business or use in or about said premises.
