(A) The Sheriff’s Department shall establish directives governing:
(1) Eligibility and selection of county institutions and county programs for participation in the study release program;
(2) The procedure by which an offender may apply for participation in a minimum security release program;
(3) Custody of an offender during the time he or she is not actively engaged in the activity to which he or she is assigned;
(4) Conduct of an offender participating in a minimum security release program, including sanctions for violations of rules of conduct;
(5) An offender’s voluntary or involuntary removal from a minimum security release program; and
(6) Any additional matters concerning the general administration of programs authorized by this subchapter.
(B) DIRECTIVE, as used in this section, relates solely to internal policy and procedure not having the force of law.
