It shall be the policy of the county to provide, within constitutional limits, fair housing throughout the corporate limits, as provided under the Civil Rights Act of 1968, being 42 U.S.C. §§ 2000e et seq., as amended, the federal Housing and Community Development Act of 1974, being 42 U.S.C. §§ 5301 et seq., as amended, and I.C. 22-9.5-1 et seq. (hereinafter referred to as the “applicable statutes”). Furthermore, it shall be the policy of the county to protect the housing rights of persons from discrimination due to their race, color, religion, sex, disability, familial status, or national origin.
