A. Compliance With Codes: It shall be unlawful to build, construct, remodel, repair, alter, move, or demolish any building or structure in the city without complying with: (2006 Code § 4-2-1)
1. The rules and regulations contained in the international building code (IBC), 2006 edition, as published by the International Code Council, Inc., and including all amendments thereto; and
2. The rules and regulations contained in the international residential code (IRC), 2006 edition, as published by the International Code Council, Inc., and including all amendments thereto. (Ord. 2009-6, 5-4-2009)
B. Codes Adopted: Said codes are adopted as the building code of the city for the standards and requirements of construction, and the provisions of said codes are adopted and incorporated by reference as if fully set forth in this chapter, subject, however, to sections 9-2-2-1 and 9-2-2-2 of this chapter, containing provisions in lieu of the language contained in said codes. C. Copies On File: One copy of the 2006 IBC and one copy of the 2006 IRC shall be and remain on file in the office of the city clerk for use and examination by the public. (Ord. 2009-6, 5-4-2009)
