The person making application for a building permit shall pay the city clerk the following:
A. Single-family or two-family residences (not including basement unless split foyer or affordable living space): Ten cents ($0.10) per square foot.
B. Garages (attached or detached), sheds, and other structures accessory to a residential structure: Five cents ($0.05) per square foot.
C. Commercial or institutional buildings (when finished for retail or office use): Ten cents ($0.10) per square foot.
D. Warehouses and industrial buildings (when primarily unfinished): Five cents ($0.05) per square foot.
E. Each fence and each sign (except exempt signs): Twenty dollars ($20.00).
F. In any event, the minimum charge shall be twenty dollars ($20.00). (2006 Code § 4-1-5)
