7-1-14: TREES, SHRUBS AND DECORATIVE ITEMS:
   A.   Trees And Shrubs:
      1.   Planting Requirements: It shall be unlawful to plant any tree or shrub in any public street or parkway or other public place without having secured a permit. Application for a permit shall be made to the City Clerk and referred by the City Clerk to the Superintendent of Public Works. Each tree and shrub planted by permit from the Superintendent shall be placed subject to the Superintendent's direction. In his discretion, the Superintendent may consult with the City Engineer and/or the City Council. (2006 Code § 8-1-27; amd. 2016 Code)
      2.   Removal Requirements: It shall be unlawful to remove or cut down any tree or shrub in any public street or parkway or other public place without having secured a permit. Application for a permit shall be made to the City Clerk and referred by the City Clerk to the Superintendent of Public Works. If the permit is granted, the removal or cutting shall be performed subject to the direction and the approval of the Superintendent. (2006 Code § 8-1-28)
   B.   Decorative Items Prohibited In Streets And Parkways: No rock garden, boulder, bench, or other item shall be built or maintained in any public street or parkway. (2006 Code § 8-1-27)
