7-1-12: RESTRICTED AND PROHIBITED ACTS:
   A.   Injury To New Pavements: It shall be unlawful to walk upon or drive any vehicle or animal upon, or injure any newly laid street or sidewalk pavement while the same is guarded by a warning sign or barricade, or to knowingly injure any soft or newly laid pavement. (2006 Code § 8-1-9)
   B.   Parking On, Damage To Boulevards: No person shall park any motor vehicle (except by permission of the superintendent of public works), or in any manner deface, damage, or disturb the boulevard areas located between the northbound and southbound lanes on Main Street in the city. (2006 Code § 8-1-26)
   C.   Burning Materials: It shall be unlawful to conduct any open burning on any public street, sidewalk, or alley in the City; however, the burning of leaves is permitted on the shoulders of public streets; provided, that the burning is attended and kept under control and that it poses no threat to traffic. (2006 Code § 8-1-24)
   D.   Poles And Wires Over Public Ways: No person, other than a recognized public utility, shall erect any pole or wire or maintain any pole or wire over any public street, alley, sidewalk, or other public way without having first secured permission from the Superintendent of Public Works. In his discretion, the Superintendent may consult with the City Engineer and/or the City Council. (2006 Code § 8-1-17)
   E.   Gasoline Pumps: No person shall erect or maintain any gasoline pump on any public street or sidewalk in the City. (2006 Code § 8-1-18)
   F.   Playing Games: No person shall play any game upon any street, alley, or sidewalk where such game causes unnecessary noise or interferes with traffic or pedestrians. (2006 Code § 8-1-19)
   G.   Alleys:
      1.   Definitions:
    ALLEY: Is defined as a narrow thoroughfare, usually less in width than a street, giving access through the middle of a block, to the rear of lots, residential structures or buildings.
   GARBAGE TRUCK: Is defined as any vehicle used for commercial purposes in, or collecting payment for, the removal of, solid waste, refuse, garbage and rubbish.
      2.   Use By Garbage Trucks: No person shall operate a garbage truck to enter or drive on any alley, or otherwise engage in the use of an alley in any manner which involves the use of a garbage truck being on the surface of any alley, and all of such conduct is prohibited.
