A. Plat Required: Each public utility having underground services within the city limits shall file a plat or plats showing the location of such facilities with the city public works department. (2006 Code § 8-1-25; amd. 2016 Code)
B. Determination Of Location Of Services Prior To Excavation: Any person shall contact the joint utility location information for excavation (JULIE) in order to determine the location of any underground service before making any excavation that might endanger such service.
C. Liability For Damages: If any person damages any underground service facility, that person shall be required to repay the utility concerned for the facility repair or to repair the damaged facility under the direction of the utility concerned. (2006 Code § 8-1-25)
