A. Every vehicle is required to have a permit issued by the City of Abingdon as provided in chapter 2, article A of this title. Application for such a permit shall be made on a form supplied by the City of Abingdon and shall contain all such information as may, at the sole discretion of the City of Abingdon, deem necessary and shall be accompanied with a non-refundable permit application fee of fifty dollars ($50.00). The permit is for the golf cart and/or side-by-side vehicle being licensed and is nontransferable.
B. Any permit granted shall be subject to its being suspended and/or revoked upon a finding that the holder thereof has violated any provision of this chapter or there is evidence that holder of the permit cannot safely operate a qualified golf cart and/or side-by-side vehicle on the streets, except State Highway 41, located within the City of Abingdon. The Chief of Police and the City of Abingdon Police Committee shall decide the length of suspension or revocation. (Ord. 2018-6, 11-5-2018)
