5-1-6: GENERAL POWERS:

All persons possessing the power and authority of police officers shall have the power to arrest in accordance with the laws of the state of Illinois. They shall also have power within the corporate limits of the city to serve and execute warrants and other legal process. (2006 Code § 6-1-5)
