5-1-4: PART TIME POLICE:
   A.   All part time police officers shall be qualified to enter and successfully complete any training mandated by the ILETSB.
   B.   Part time police officers shall have all the responsibilities of full time police officers and such other specific duties as assigned by the general orders of the police department. Part time police officers shall not be assigned to supervise or direct full time police officers.
   C.   Part time police officers shall not work more than one thousand three hundred fifty (1,350) hours within a calendar year. (Ord. 2012-5, 5-21-2012)
   D.   Any person employed as a part time police officer must meet the following standards:
      1.   Be of good moral character, temperate habits, sound health and physically able to perform all assigned duties.
      2.   Be at least twenty one (21) years of age.
      3.   Possess a high school diploma or GED certificate.
      4.   Possess a valid state of Illinois driver's license.
      5.   Possess no prior felony convictions. (Ord. 2012-5, 5-21-2012; amd. 2016 Code)
