4-3-2: FILING FEE:
   A.   Purpose: The filing fee is intended to defray the reasonable and necessary costs incurred by the city in conducting the siting review process in order to fulfill the requirements of the Illinois environmental protection act.
   B.   Disposition And Use Of Fee: The city clerk and the city treasurer shall cause said filing fee deposit to be placed into a noninterest bearing account within a federally insured financial institution. Records shall be kept of the expenses incurred by the city and periodically reported to the city council and the applicant. The city may draw upon the application fee deposit in the amount of the reported incurred expenses from time to time.
   C.   Supplemental Deposit: In the event that, following any draws from the filing fee deposit fund, the remaining balance is fifteen percent (15%) or less of the amount of the original filing fee deposit, the city may, when authorized by the city council, make written demand upon the applicant for a supplemental deposit sufficient to return the fund to the amount of the original filing fee deposit. The applicant shall have ten (10) days following receipt of the demand in which to make the supplemental deposit with the city clerk. Failure of the applicant to comply shall entitle the city to inform the applicant that the city will cease review of the application and will deny the application. (Ord. 1995-11, 11-6-1995)
