It shall be unlawful for any person to willfully fail or refuse to comply with any final order or direction of the code enforcement officer or the council made by virtue and in pursuance of this article, and any person violating this article shall, upon conviction, be punished as provided by G.S. 14-4 for the violation of municipal ordinances, and every day such person shall willfully fail or refuse to comply with any final order or direction of the code enforcement officer or the council made by virtue and in pursuance of this article shall constitute a separate and distinct offense.
