§ 12-53  PERMIT FOR PHYSICALLY CHALLENGED PERSONS.
   (A)   A person that is physically challenged, as defined herein, is eligible for a lifetime local fishing permit and may apply for a lifetime license issued by the North Carolina Wildlife Resources Commission.
   (B)   A person is deemed to be PHYSICALLY CHALLENGED if one or more of the following criteria are met:
      (1)   A person whose mobility requires permanent use of a wheelchair, braces, walker, motorized chair or crutches, and those who have lost the use of one or both legs; or
      (2)   A person who, as determined and certified by a physician, is severely restricted in mobility by a pulmonary or cardiovascular disability, arthritic condition, orthopedic or neurologic impairment.
   (C)   All physically challenged persons, as defined herein, are required to adhere to all rules and regulations in this chapter.
