§ 3.08.07 ACTION BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN.
   (A)   Before taking such lawful action as it may deem advisable, the Board of Aldermen shall conduct a public hearing and consider the Planning Board’s recommendations on each proposed zoning amendment.
   (B)   Notice of any public hearing shall be published (the notice shall be published for the first time not less than ten days nor more than 25 days before the date fixed for the hearing) in a newspaper of general circulation in the town at least once each week for two successive weeks prior to the hearing according to G.S. § 160A-364 and by mailing notices to adjoining property owners in the envelopes provided by the applicant according to G.S. § 160A-384. Notice may also be made by posting the property concerned.
   (C)   The applicant, the Planning Board, and the Zoning Administrator shall be given written copies of the board’s decision and the reasons therefor.
