Rules and regulations governing the use of reclaimed water are contained in the North Carolina Administrative Code section 15A NCAC 02U.0200 as amended from time to time. Other requirements are contained in Permit No. WQ 0019631 issued to the Johnston County Water Reclamation Facility on March 27, 2002. Additional requirements are contained in county policy relating to reclaimed water applications, inspections, education, etc.
All other rules governing the use of reclaimed water require approval of the Johnston County Board of Commissioners.
