Section 8.02. Charter Review Commission.
The council, using the procedures prescribed in article V, shall establish a charter review commission at least once every ten years following the effective date of this charter. The commission, consisting of at least nine members, shall review the existing charter and may, within twelve months recommend any charter amendments that it deems fit to the council. The council shall either exercise its power of amendment pursuant to section 8.01B of the charter on a matter recommended by the commission or submit such amendments to the voters in the form prescribed by the commission, and an amendment becomes effective when approved by a majority of those voting.
