§ 111.03 PERMIT REQUIREMENTS; ISSUANCE OF PERMIT.
   The Town Manager, Chief of Police or his or her designee shall issue permits and, in the issuance thereof, he or she shall do the following:
   (A)   Require a written application for the permit in the prescribed form to be filed within an acceptable time period determined by the permit official for all special events consisting of festivals, concerts, performances, block parties and other such public assembly events that may, but not necessarily, require a partial or full street closure. The permit official shall consider an application including that of a first amendment protected parade, picket or demonstration that is filed within 48 hours before the commencement of the proposed event where the purpose of such event is a spontaneous response to a current event or where other good and compelling causes are shown; and
   (B)   An event application shall be made in the prescribed application form as set by the permit official and be submitted with the prescribed permit fees applicable for each special request (set and reviewed annually by the permit official) and a $1,000,000 general liability with the “Town of Badin” listed as an insured party for any events that propose street closures, alcohol sales, distribution, consumption or possession and/or events that have pyrotechnics. An additional $1,000,000 liquor liability policy will be required for all events that have alcohol sales, distribution, consumption or possession with the “Town of Badin” listed as an additional insured party.
